Wear Your Shoes, Walk Your Own Journey

1 Corinthians 3:7-9 NIV
" So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God's service; you are God's field, God's building. "

You have your own purpose in Christ, never try to wear the shoes or walk the journey of someone else.

Remember that infamous children story of Goldielocks and the 3 bears? For there was a house with three bowls of porridge, three chairs, and three beds. Divided into three portions; the papa bear, mama bear and baby bear portions. Goldie, tried out the papa and mama bears porridge, chairs and bed only to find out that it was never meant for her but only the baby bear's things were a perfect fit for her.

The whole premise of the story is to teach children to never take or settle for something that is not for you (granted neither things belonged to Goldie, for she was a stranger of the bears family home). But I will explain to you in laymen terms using the same central theme as Goldielock and the 3 bears.

Imagine three shoes in front of three separate paths; one pair are too big with a wide, busy, and slightly chaotic path. One pair is too small with a teeny tiny narrow, quiet, and dull path. And the last pair fits you just right, the path is not too big nor too small, it's not too busy nor too quiet, and there is a perfect balance of peace and chaos.

In other words, those shoes were meant to be worn only by you, no one else and you should not try to wear any one else shoes. Granted, we've all heard the saying "you don't know a person's journey unless you walked a mile in their shoes." That doesn't translates go a try on everyone's shoes, you'll get athletes foot, bunions, and plantar fasciitis; meaning you will get spiritually and mentally exhausted trying to do more than what you are meant for.

God knows your shoe size and he knows the path that you are to take. Never settle for less and never take on more than you can handle. Remember, you are not designed to please people but only God. The "shoes" or purpose God has for you is uniquely designed for you and the path in which you are to walk is predestined to benefit, satisfy, and bring you closer to God.

This doesn't mean that you can judge others shoes either. Just because someone has fresh Jordans or torn old sneakers doesn't mean that one is better than the other. God is the designer of the shoes, so he knows what is necessary for each person. If you are judging others shoes, then you are judging or mocking God's work. I don't know about you, but God's track record with those who mock him is very.... yeah, I fear God to know better than to belittle someone over their journey and purpose.

If you are finding yourself asking God what is my purpose or "where are my shoes" then you might have on some right now that doesn't belong to you. Ask God to remove those shoes and direct you to your. Ask God to help you put on your shoes and ties the lace up. Never be afraid to ask God for help, after all he is our Father in heaven.

Never grow weary of the shoes God gave you, remember God knows when it is time for a new pair and he will provide. God will never leave you barefoot in a rocky and thorny forest, rest assured.

Appreciate the perfectly fitted and designed shoes God made specifically and uniquely for you. After all you were fearfully and wonderfully made !

Brethren, wear only your shoes and walk only your journey in them as God intended

Move In Silence

M-I-S, so that you won't "miss" your opportunity! When working on things and creating ideas, we are often excited to share the great news from the mountain tops. Granted, there is nothing wrong with being proud of your works nor is there wrong with wanting to share them with your circle. But we have to be mindful of the idea that not everyone is celebrating with you. Have you ever had a brilliant idea or exciting new thing happen in your life and you immediately shared it via social media or by word-of-mouth? Remember, how you had one or more persons who said some hurtful things or how when these got hard, you felt too embarrassed to mention it out of fear of more judgment? We have all experienced this at some point in our lives and it sucks. You should be able to share the news about a new relationship, job opportunity, baby, business idea, etc. But face it, we all have enemies plotting against us in jealousy.  How do you avoid missing your unique and wonder...

The Curse Breaker

"To remove generational curses, we must pray for generational prosperity." Whether we are aware of it or not, many of us have struggled with the bondage of our ancestors' trauma (or as we like to call it.... generational curses).  If addiction, poverty, abuse, grievance, or secrets is something familiar in your family, then I'm sure, you're very determined and dedicated to breaking those curses from yourself and the next generation to come.  As "curse breakers" we might find ourselves cutting ties, setting necessary boundaries, and praying that those covenants of our ancestors are broken from us. And as you pray, I ask that you take heed of what you're praying for.  Allow me to explain clearly, what I mean by knowing "what you are praying for. If the abuse was something prevalent in your family lineage, then you need to first rebuke abuse but also pray for the spirit of mental and spiritual healing to be loose onto you and your family. I...

Keeping His Commandments

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:17‭-‬20 NIV During his sermon on the mount, Yahusha Hamashiach (Jesus Christ) reminded the people that he was not on earth to destroy or "Do away" with the Mosaic Laws of the Old Testament. Jesus proclaimed that he was here to "fulfill it" meanin...
